Our Story
Dr and Skin has been founded out of a deeply personal journey. I, Dr Ammar, co-founder of Dr and Skin, face severe eczema that, to this day, affects my face. I am on a journey to improve my skin health, and along the way, I am learning about the many skin products out there. In my experience, it can be overwhelming and difficult to navigate through the wide array of products on the market. My own experience with eczema and acne has led me to try different things.
Initially, I used steroids for my eczema, but I found this to be a short-term solution to a complex problem. My eczema would return whenever steroids were stopped, and any sensible doctor would agree that long-term use of steroids on the skin can lead to worse outcomes. So, I needed a solution to my problems. Eczema, for me, is the main barrier to continuing my skincare journey, as most products can cause worsening and irritation—not helpful when I am also trying to manage acne and acne scarring.
It’s a frustrating cycle. However, I am learning about many effective products for other skin concerns, and I want to share my knowledge with my community.
I am not alone. We are a family-led clinic, and my family supports me. My wife, Faiza, has always been interested in skincare and aesthetics. Together, we are learning about the cosmetic world, and since we met, we have developed into Dr and Skin.
We want to provide a safe place for our clients to receive honest advice on what is best for their skin and their wellness. All of us work in the NHS, and we bring our work ethic into Dr and Skin.

Dr Ammar
Co-founder | Doctor | Skin & Aesthetics
As the Co-founder of Dr and Skin, Dr Ammar brings together a passion for skin health, and a commitment to ethical, results-driven care. A fully qualified doctor working within the NHS, Dr Ammar combines clinical experience with an understanding of aesthetic medicine to deliver safe, personalised, and effective treatments.
At Dr and Skin, patient safety, trust, and education are central to everything Dr Ammar does — because true beauty begins with healthy skin and expert care.
Faiza
Co-founder | Physician Associate | Aesthetic Practitioner
Faiza is a Physician Associate who works in primary care and has a background in musculoskeletal rehabilitation. Practicing within the NHS and in aesthetics.
Combining science with artistry, Faiza is passionate about enhancing natural beauty while prioritising skin health and client safety. Her approach is rooted in personalised care, aiming to boost not just appearance—but confidence and overall wellbeing. She believes true beauty lies in the balance of health, subtle enhancement, and self-assurance.
Dr Ijaz
General Practitioner | PRP
With over 30 years of experience as a dedicated General Practitioner, Dr. Ijaz brings an exceptional depth of clinical knowledge and patient care to her role at Dr and Skin. Her extensive medical background is enriched by a particular expertise in skin health and hair loss management, making her a trusted figure in both general and aesthetic medicine.
At Dr and Skin, Dr. Ijaz applies her holistic, patient-first approach to every consultation — combining clinical excellence with a calm, compassionate presence. She believes that true aesthetic care goes beyond the surface, and is proud to help clients feel confident in both their skin and their well-being.
