Dr + Skin was founded out of a deeply personal and shared journey. Dr Ammar, our founder, faced severe eczema that spread across his face, leaving visible pigmentation after repeated steroid treatments. The eczema would return whenever steroids were stopped, creating a frustrating and painful cycle. On top of this, he struggled with acne scarring from his teenage years and early hair thinning in his twenties — all of which took a toll on his confidence.

Supporting him every step of the way was his wife, Faiza, whose passion for skin health and overall wellbeing became a guiding light in his healing process. With her dedication to understanding skincare and wellness, Faiza helped research, trial, and support the journey toward healthier skin and renewed confidence.

Together — combining Dr Ammar’s medical expertise and Faiza’s holistic approach to skin and wellness — they embarked on learning medical-grade skincare and non-invasive aesthetic treatments. Their shared commitment and complementary skills enabled Dr Ammar to see real, lasting improvements.
